Modi committed ‘strategic blunder’ on August of 5: Prime Minister Imran Khan

Prime Minister Imran Khan Wednesday said having all of their misstated suppositions on Kashmir fallen apart, Narendra Modi’s fascist government has been trapped in a blind alley and the situation will ultimately gain into the freedom of the occupied valley.

“They are up in a blind alley. If they turn back, they lose Kashmir. If they protract (siege in Kashmir), the world is watching them… If they go to the extent of suppressing Kashmiri people, it will prompt the world reaction,” the prime minister said while speaking to the Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir as the country observed Youm-e-Istehsal to mark the first anniversary of India's illegal actions of August 5, 2019.

The prime minister, who earlier led a commonality walk in the AJK capital along with AJK president and PM, said on August 5 last year, India committed a strategic blunder. He said the situation, which Kashmir was currently going through, would ultimately gain into the freedom of Kashmir. He said the Modi regime made strategic blunder on August 5 last on four suppositions. It would move forward his anti-Pakistan  agenda by lifting the special IIOJK status out of hauteur. He thought Pakistan would keep secrecy like before. He misunderstood that the world would not react considering it a huge market. And that the Kashmir people would give up struggle consequent to use of force.

He said contrary to Modi’s expectations, Pakistan contacted the world leaders, including German chancellor, US President Trump and France’s Macron and others, and foreign media making them understand the severeness of the issue. He said after creation of Bangladesh, the western media’s controversy was towards India and against Pakistan but during the last one year, India has been criticized by the foreign media because Pakistan has made them understand that Modi’s ideology is inspired by Nazi Germany. He said Modi has been exposed globally as he spewed out hatred against the humanity and the world now looks at Kashmir.
