People of all provinces are on same platform against PTI government: Bilawal

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday said that the people of all provinces are on the same page to eject Prime Minister Imran Khan out of power. “The PTI government is involved in the theft of flour, sugar, petrol and other basic merchandise but not a single investigation has been carried on. We’ll have to get rid of this selected government,” the PPP chairman told media after holding a meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif at the latter’s Model Town residence in Lahore. “We are conjointly working for the people of Pakistan as they are facing multiple problems due to this inapt government,” he said.

Bilawal said that different suggestions have been offered by the opposition parties, including an in-house change and demand of fresh elections. “All these issues will be discussed in the coming APC which is being convened shortly,” he said. In answer to a question, the PPP chairman said that there is no need to carry a sit-in in Islamabad as the government will fall when they will reach the middle way while continuing towards the federal capital.

Shehbaz said the government has failed miserably to point the problems being faced by the people. According to him, the Rehbar Committee meeting will be held after Eid to settle the schedules of the APC. He also thanked the PPP chairman to visit him and questioning about his health.

Earlier, the two leaders had an elaborated meeting and talked over the upcoming APC being convened by the opposition parties. PPP leaders Qamar Zaman Kaira and Chaudhry Manzoor also followed Bilawal. PML-N’s Ahsan Iqbal, Kh Saad Rafique, Ayaz Sadiq and Maryam Aurangzeb also attended the meeting. Separately, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto held a meeting with JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman on Tuesday at a local hotel in Lahore.
